Aqua & Clear Wide Crown Splash Resin Sculpture, 177cm, wave-shaped with a shallow aqua bowl and reaching spiked arms, on a black base against a plain white background.
Aqua & Clear Wide Crown Splash Resin Sculpture - 177cm $10,25500
Description

A splash caught as the water throws up a crown. Its heart is a shallow aqua bowl, and from its rim an arm reaches out and up to each side: one climbs and trails away into a long, fine tip, while the other is pierced by round openings and ends in a cluster of spikes. Between them a ring of fingers of different heights breaks outward, and a long spike reaches out low at either side. The colour sits in the bowl and clears to colourless along the arms, and the whole splash rises from a small square marble base that it overhangs on every side.

A Crown of Spray Thrown Wide From One Bowl

A splash this wide is mostly air, and the work is in deciding where the water goes and where it stops. The arms are the gesture that gives the piece its span, and they are drawn as opposites: one runs out into a long tail that thins to a fine point, while the other breaks up as it climbs, pierced by round openings and ending in a cluster of spikes, and the fingers round the rim are left irregular, as spray is. The aqua is held down in the bowl, where water gathers deepest, and fades as the arms climb, so the colour reads as depth rather than as paint. Every tip is left keen, because a blunted point turns water back into resin.

It needs a floor and room on both sides, since the arms claim far more width than the base suggests: a reception, a wide hall, the far end of a long living room. Stand it where people approach from the front and the crown opens towards them as they come. A dark or plain wall behind it keeps the spray legible, and daylight from one side picks out every finger along the rim. From the door the two arms make the shape; the fingers and the openings are the close view.

Tint, a Colourless Splash and a Wide Crate

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. The aqua can be deepened or moved to another colour, or left out altogether for a colourless splash that is all clear resin, and the marble base can be cut to another size or in another stone. Left colourless, the splash depends on its outline alone and wants a plain ground behind it. It travels standing on its base in a wide crate with each arm wrapped separately for the journey, and two people lift it into position. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

An aqua bowl throwing one arm out into a trailing tip and the other up into pierced spikes leads to our organic sculptures, our contemporary and modern sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
