This cast resin torso throws both arms out level from the shoulders and ends them square, with a short neck stump between them, so the top of the piece reads as one broad bar above a narrower body. The material is a pale amethyst violet, translucent rather than clear, and the planes are broad enough to hold the colour as flat fields. A shallow slab of black marble sits beneath it and gives the violet something dark to stand against.
The violet is a pigment held in the resin rather than a coat over it, which is why the colour survives a knock: a chipped arris shows the same pale violet as the face beside it. Getting the depth of it right is a matter of judgement rather than measurement, because a tint that looks correct in the workshop reads differently in a room, so the shade is settled against the finished piece and against the others in the family rather than against a sample card. Translucency also raises the standard on the planes: a colourless body forgives a slightly dull face, while a tinted one turns the same face grey. Each is flatted and polished to the same grade. The marble slab is dressed level on top and the torso is pinned down onto it.
Give this a pale ground rather than a dark one, which is the opposite of what the colourless torsos want: on white or oak the violet reads as a colour, while against a dark wall it goes almost black and the marble and the body merge into one shape. At this height it is a console and hall table piece. Set it square to the room so both arms read at once, and allow a hand's width behind it rather than pushing it against the wall.
Standard pieces take 3–4 weeks and bespoke commissions 5–6. Tint depth is open, from this pale violet to a saturated aubergine, and amber, green and grey are made in the same way. Black marble is standard for the base, with white marble or slate as alternatives, its thickness set at order, or the torso can stand without one. Scale is cut to order. Where two or more are ordered together they are poured from the same mixes so the tints agree. The base travels separately from the figure in one crate and the two are put together by hand on site, each a one-person carry. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A torso with both arms out level and squared off belongs with our classic sculptures; violet held as flat fields across broad planes leads to our abstract sculptures, and amethyst resin on a marble slab joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
