This dining chair is cast in amber resin. The back is a curved panel with a wing swept forward at each side, and it stands clear of the seat on two short uprights so a gap runs across the chair at waist height. Below, the frame is one continuous looped run: down from the seat, forward to the floor, back along it and up again. The amber is translucent throughout and deepens to orange at every edge.
The frame is one looped run and the loop is what carries the chair. It leaves the seat at each side, drops forward and down to the floor, runs back underneath and rises again at the rear, so there is no separate leg anywhere on it and no joint to find. Seen from the side the whole support reads as a single ribbon. Above it the back stands clear on two short uprights, and that gap across the chair at waist height is deliberate: from the front the back appears to float, and from behind the seat shows through it. The amber deepens to orange wherever two thicknesses overlap.
At 80cm overall it suits a dining table while keeping a small footprint, and the looped frame means there is no rear leg to catch a foot. It works four or six round a table without crowding it. Set it on a plain floor, since the amber passes light and a patterned floor shows straight through the seat. Light from behind makes the gap under the back read as a bright line. Indoor use only.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The frame is the slow part. Three things are settled at order. The colour route comes first: amber as here, a clear green, a deep orange or a tint you name. The wings are second: swept forward as they are here, or cut back to a plain panel, which quietens the chair considerably. And the gap under the back, which can stay open or be closed by carrying the panel down to the seat. Both the seat height and the overall width are yours to set. Order a set together and the colour is matched across it. It ships assembled in one crate and wants two pairs of hands. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A dining chair looped from a single ribbon of amber belongs with our art furniture; its flowing frame suits our organic sculptures, and the honey-orange tint our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
