This is a freestanding oval bath in translucent amber resin, thick-walled, with a rolled rim running the whole way round and an overflow set into the front wall. The amber deepens towards the foot where the section is heaviest, so the bath reads honey at the rim and close to rust at the base.
The wall is carried thick and even the whole way round, which is what a bath has to have and what governs the schedule: a thin patch in a translucent wall shows as a bright band from the outside. The rim is rolled over on a former so its section is constant, and the overflow is formed in rather than cut afterwards. The inside is polished to a full gloss and the outside to the same grade, since a translucent bath is seen from both sides at once.
This is a full-length freestanding bath, and its supply and waste are brought up through the floor or the wall behind it; a freestanding mixer tap can be included with the order if you want one. It wants light from a window or from above rather than from behind, since the amber only reads when something is passing through the wall.
Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The wall section is the slow part. Specify three things and the rest follows. The amber can be taken to another tint or dropped for colourless, the wall section is open, and the overflow can be positioned to suit the room. Both the bath length and the rim height are yours to set. Several ordered together are worked so that the depth of the amber at the foot agrees. Its crate is shaped round the rolled rim and the overflow, and four people lift it from there. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A thick-walled amber bath belongs among our art furniture; its oval form sits with our organic sculptures, and the translucent casting with our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
