A small twisting body drawn out to a fine point, raised well clear of eye level on a block that itself stands on a plinth. Amber fills the body and drains out toward the tip, so the point is almost colourless. Two supports are supplied, a black marble block on a tall plinth, and most of the height is stone.
Everything about a form that ends in a point is preparation for the point, and the material is tested at that one place and nowhere else. The casting is small and it is carried high, so the piece is met as a silhouette against whatever is behind it rather than as an object to be walked around. Colour that thins toward a drawn point needs a body clear enough to show the change, and there is very little material at the tip to carry any at all. Polished over the whole surface, and the tip is polished as carefully as the body though almost nobody looks at it.
A hall, a landing or a narrow entrance, where its height does the work and its width asks for nothing. A dark ground makes the amber; against a pale wall the tip vanishes entirely. Light from below fills the body and leaves the point empty, which is the way round this piece is drawn. It reads as a thin amber line from the door and the twist in it only appears when you are alongside.
Time separates the two: a bespoke commission takes 5–6 weeks, a standard piece 3–4. The amber is taken into the tip, the twist is opened out, and one plinth is cut in place of the pair. Carry the amber into the tip and the point stops being the end of anything, so the proportion is redrawn with it. Three parts arrive on a single pallet. Level the plinth where it is staying, add the block, then the casting, and keep the tip boxed to the last. Two people to the stone and one to the casting, and no weight goes through the point. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An amber flame drawn to a fine point leads to our organic sculptures; the small casting belongs among our resin sculptures, and it lifts the eye in a narrow hall among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
