A cast resin sculpture standing as a panel of small square tiles, set in straight columns and level courses on a clear plate. Rather more than half the tiles are amber and carry fine bubbles suspended through them; the rest are clear. What makes it a composition rather than a pattern is where the two are put: the amber gathers towards the middle and thins as it goes outward, so the mass reads as a soft cloud with a ragged edge, and along the top and the sides individual amber tiles stand alone against clear ones. Light passes through the whole panel.
The grid is square, every tile standing in a straight column and a level course, and that is what makes the amber read as a composition rather than a chart: with no stagger to hide behind, the only thing left to draw is where the amber goes. Density is the whole subject. Too even and it is wallpaper, too clustered and it is a blob, so the amber is gathered through the middle and down the narrower lower part, which leaves the mass a stepped, ragged edge. The bubbles inside the amber tiles are left as they come out of the pour, which is why no two tiles carry the same pattern.
At 61cm it behaves like a picture, so put it on a chest top or a broad ledge at eye height with a plain wall behind. It has hardly any depth, so from either end it nearly vanishes and it makes a poor centrepiece. What it really wants is something behind it, whether a window, a lamp or a lit alcove, because the amber only glows when light comes through it, and against a solid wall it goes brown. Keep it out of reach of a walkway: the outer tiles stand alone on the grid and are the first thing a sleeve would catch.
Order a standard piece and it takes 3–4 weeks; order it bespoke and it takes 5–6. Tile size, the density of the amber and the shape of the mass are all drawn per piece, so a denser panel reading almost solid or a sparse one that is mostly clear both come from this design, and the mass can be set low, high or off to one side. Colour is chosen at order in this amber, a smoke grey, a green or a blue, and the bubbles can be left out for glass-clear tiles. Lift it by the plate with a hand steadying the panel, never by a tile. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Amber and clear tiles set out on a square grid above a clear plate, it belongs to our geometric sculptures, our resin sculptures and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
