Amber Red Scalloped Looping Ribbon Resin Sculpture, 170cm, a twisting glossy loop with scalloped inner edges, shown on a plain white background.
Amber Red Scalloped Looping Ribbon Resin Sculpture - 170cm $16,87800
Description

A ribbon of amber-red resin that rises from a broad, scooped base and turns into a high, twisting loop, so the band crosses itself in space. Along its inner edge runs a line of scallops, as on a flame's edge or a shell, and dark flecks drift through the warm colour. It stands on the curve of its own base.

A Scalloped Ribbon Turning in Space

The ribbon is broad and flat, and turning it through a loop means it is seen face on in one place and edge on in another, so the colour changes from a glowing sheet to a thin dark line as you walk round. The scalloped inner edge is the detail that makes it feel natural, a rhythm of small curves like the growth line of a shell. The amber runs to red where the band is broadest and lightens at its edges, and the dark flecks give the resin depth.

At 170cm it wants to be walked round, so give it an open position in a large sitting room, an entrance or a reception area. Daylight behind it sets the amber on fire; against a dark wall it glows like embers. Its scalloped edge and warm colour suit a room of dark wood, brass and stone.

Colour, Scale and a Crate

Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. It can be cast in another colour, a deep blue, a green or a clear, and made to another size, and cast without the flecks for a clean band. Blue turns it cool and oceanic; amber-red stays warm. Along the inner edge the scallops can be drawn more boldly or softened. It is crated on its side and needs two people to right it and set it in place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A ribbon that crosses itself in space belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures; amber-red resin flecked with dark leads to our resin sculptures, and a looping form for an open reception joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
