Amber Looped Ribbon Knot Resin Sculpture, 80cm, deep orange base loops lightening to honey-gold above, on a black marble block, plain white background.
Amber Looped Ribbon Knot Resin Sculpture - 80cm $1,82200
Description

A ribbon knot cast in amber resin, the ribbon looping over itself and resting on one curve at its base. The amber is a deep, glowing orange where the loops gather low down, and it lightens to gold and honey in the open loops above, with a darker glint where the ribbon crosses. Its base, a black marble block, is supplied with it.

Deep Orange Below, Honey Above

Amber suits a knot because the colour deepens at every crossing of the ribbon, so the crossings read as rich, dark points of orange while the open curves stay bright and golden. Most of the colour gathers at the foot, giving the piece a warm base, and the loops above look almost lit. Each piece carries the amber a little differently, and the whole ribbon is polished, inside the loops as well as out, so the glow is even all round. It is a warm, welcoming piece.

A console, a dresser or a sideboard in a living room or a hall, where evening lamps can warm it. It sits beautifully beside walnut, brass and cream linen, and it brings a glow to a cool, grey room. A window beside it makes the amber shine; a pale wall behind it shows the loops clearly.

Darker, Lighter, or Two-Tone, and Delivery

From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. The amber can be taken darker towards brown or lighter towards honey, or graded into another colour at the top, while the loops can be drawn tighter or looser. A pale stone can take the place of the black block. The knot is also made in aqua and clear and in the pink-to-blue original, both sold separately. It travels in a single crate already fixed to its block; one person can place it by the base. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Amber deepening at every crossing of the ribbon makes this a warm choice among our resin sculptures; the looping knot belongs with our organic sculptures, and more for a lamplit room is in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
