Description

This sculpture is a column of open loops in amber cast resin, each loop linked into the next so the form climbs like a chain stood on end. The colour runs from a clear yellow in the top loop down to a deep orange at the foot, and every surface is polished. The openings differ in size and shape from loop to loop, so the column reads differently from each side. At 80cm, base included, it sits at about eye level on a tall console.

Amber Loops Linked Into One Column

The loops are modelled together and their openings cut while the form is still whole, so the links read as one flowing body rather than a chain of joined parts. The amber is graded through the depth of the resin, which keeps the change from yellow to orange soft rather than banded. Every opening is polished on its inner face as well as its outer one, so the inside edges catch the light and each loop shows as a bright ring. The marble base is cut square and bedded flat under the foot.

The column suits a sideboard or a deep shelf that leaves room to walk partway round it, because each turn of the loops shows a different set of openings. Amber reads warmest against a white or pale grey wall, and a window to one side lights the yellow loops at the top. Keep a plain surface round it so the base stays clear.

Colour, Openings and a Marble Base

Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The amber can be taken toward a deeper orange or kept to a clear yellow throughout, and the openings can be cut wider, set closer or made fewer. The marble base can be supplied in another stone, colour or shape on request. It is packed upright in a fitted crate with the base wrapped separately, and one person can unpack it, lifting the column by its foot and never by a loop. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Linked loops in polished amber resin belong with our abstract sculptures; a column whose colour deepens from yellow to orange leads to our resin sculptures, and a warm upright column to catch the morning sun joins our indoor sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
