Description

This low table sets an amber lens on a finned base. The top is a thick lens, flat above and curving away beneath to a rounded rim, and it is a translucent amber running through to tobacco brown, darkest around the rim where the section is deepest. Beneath it the base is a set of upright curved fibreglass fins in a pale grey, arranged so the top appears to rest on their edges rather than on a solid support.

Amber Read From Below

The broad lens is the whole character of this table. There is enough material here that the amber reads as tobacco brown around the rim and lightens to a clear honey across the middle of the flat, so the top has its own gradient without anything having been graded. Look up at it from a low seat and the curved underside gathers the room into a single distorted reflection. The fibreglass fins beneath are pale, matte and set on edge, so from most angles you see through the base to the floor and the top appears to be resting on nothing much.

It sits low and works as a coffee table for two chairs or as a generous side table beside a long sofa. It rewards being looked at from a seat, where the curved underside draws the whole room into its reflection. Give it a plain floor and clearance to walk round: the fins are set on edge and read as thin from some angles and solid from others. Indoors only.

The Tint, the Plan, and How Many Fins Carry It

A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The diameter is the slow part. Three specifications are yours. The tint comes first, from this amber through tobacco to a smoke grey or a clear body. The plan is second: round as here, or an oval, which suits a long sofa better. And the fins carrying it, which can be added to until the base closes and the top reads as sitting on a solid drum. Diameter and height are cut to your figures. A matched set has to be ordered as a set. It travels flat in one crate and two people carry it in. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
