Amber Guardian Lion with Ball on the Right Cast Resin Sculpture - 38cm
Amber Guardian Lion with Ball on the Right Cast Resin Sculpture - 38cm $2,56500
Description

This cast resin guardian lion sits upright with its ball beneath the forepaw on the right as seen from the front, and it is the mirror image of its companion lion, which keeps the ball on the left. The amber deepens to rust in the mane and at the paws and burns a clear orange through the chest when light comes from behind, and the mane is a mass of close curls above a banded collar.

A Mirror-Image Guardian in Glowing Amber

A mirrored pair only convinces if the second lion is a true reflection of the first, so this one is made as the mirror of its companion rather than as a copy turned round: the mane, the collar and the lattice of the ball all run the other way, curl for curl. Amber is kind to detail because light gets into it, and where the resin is thickest it darkens towards rust, so the mane and the paws read deeper than the chest with no second colour added. The ball is carved in an open lattice, and it stands clear beneath the paw.

At 38cm the lion sits well on a hall chest, a sideboard or a deep sill. Beside its companion it makes a symmetrical pair either side of an entrance, a hearth or a long console, and on its own it is turned with the ball towards the room. Warm light from behind or to one side brings the amber up, and a cream wall or pale stone behind it keeps the orange bright.

Amber, the Mirrored Pair and Delivery

The standard build is 3–4 weeks and the bespoke build 5–6. Its amber can be taken towards honey or towards rust, or another colour can be chosen at order. It is priced as one animal, and its mirror companion is a separate order, so a pair is two. Other sizes are made on request, and the ball's lattice can be cut tighter or opened out. A fitted crate holds it with the ball padded, and it is a one-person lift out of the box. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

An amber guardian lion cast as a mirror image belongs with our lion statues; a lattice ball under its paw leads to our figurative sculptures, and amber glowing orange where light passes through joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
