In this cast resin piece the lion sits upright with a lattice-carved ball under the forepaw to the left, viewed from the front. The amber is deep, close to rust in the mane and at the paws, and it glows a clear orange through the chest and the haunch when light comes from behind. The mane is a crown of tight curls.
Amber holds detail better than a dark tint, because the light reaches into it, so the lattice on the ball and the curls of the mane stay legible at a distance. The colour deepens wherever the resin is thick, which is why the mane and the paws come out darker than the chest without any second colour being added. The ball stands clear of the base, so the paw rests on its crown as it would on a real one. No two castings take the amber identically.
At 38cm the lion is right for a sideboard, a console or a hall chest, and set by a window it turns to fire in the afternoon. In a pair it stands on one side of an entrance, with its mirror companion, the ball held under the other forepaw, on the other side. A pale or warm ground suits it, oak, stone or a cream wall. In daylight it reads warm and solid; by lamplight it glows.
Every standard piece is made in 3–4 weeks, and every bespoke commission in 5–6. The amber can run paler toward honey or deeper toward rust, and blue, teal or gold-leafed clear can be ordered instead. It is priced as one animal, so a pair needs two orders, and it can be made at other sizes. The lattice on the ball can be carved finer or more open. A fitted crate protects the ball in transit, and a single person can lift it from beneath. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An amber guardian lion resting a paw on a lattice ball belongs with our lion statues; a crown of tight curls leads to our figurative sculptures, and amber that burns orange against the light joins our resin sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
