This cast resin dish sculpture has a broad rectangular plan whose four corners lift clear of it into points, and the interior is dished and rippled from the rim right down into the well. The colour runs from almost nothing at the rim to a strong amber where the dish is deepest, and the whole inside is polished to a mirror, so the amber is read as depth rather than as a coat of colour on a surface.
The two tints are brought up in sequence and the meeting is worked while both are still live, so the amber deepens over a span rather than at a line, and where that happens is set at order. The four corner points are the difficulty: each lifts clear of the plan and has to leave the dished surface on a true curve, and a point that runs thin shows as a bright edge from across a room. The interior ripple is worked into the mould face and the well is then polished from a coarse grade upward, which is the slow part because a dish narrows as you work down into it. The underside is faced flat so the piece sits without packing.
At 100cm it makes a centrepiece for a long table or a console, given a clear stretch of surface rather than a crowded one. The graduation is read by looking down into it, so it suits a table people stand at or sit around rather than a high shelf. Light from above puts the amber at its strongest in the well, and a pale surface under it returns more of the colour than a dark one.
Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. Most of it is the dished mirror. Three things are open at order. The graduation can be set the other way round, with the amber at the rim and the well left almost clear, and a single tint throughout is also available. Neither the dish length nor the corner height is fixed. Specify the whole group at once and the grade from rim to well is held through it. Crated with the four lifted corners and the polished well protected, it is a two-person lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Four corners lifted off a rippled amber well belong with our organic sculptures; as a centrepiece it sits among our abstract sculptures, the graded casting with our resin sculptures.

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
