Amber Graded Branching Scholar's Rock Resin Sculpture - 86cm, clear at the crown fading to amber and red-orange, on a black marble base against a plain white background.
Amber Graded Branching Scholar's Rock Resin Sculpture - 86cm $2,16000
Description

A branching scholar's rock that starts colourless at its pointed crown and turns honey amber through the arms, deepening to a red-orange where the twisted stem meets the base. Two near-circular rings are held in the arms, with smaller openings around them. The piece comes with its own black marble base.

Honey Amber Down a Branching Stem

Amber graded from the top down gives the branching form a root. The crown and the tip of the left arm stay clear, the colour gathers through the rings and the right arm, and by the foot it has thickened to a red-orange that anchors the narrow stem. The two rings read differently because of it: one is framed in pale honey and the other, nearer the foot, in deeper amber. The stem turns on itself, carrying the grade round with it, and from each side the colour climbs a different way.

On a sideboard or a console in a warm room it stands 86cm with its marble, where timber and brass bring the amber up. The rings need a view beyond them, so a window or open room behind is worth more than a fine surface under it. Side light from a lamp shows the grade well. It needs only a narrow footprint.

Amber Depth, the Rings, and Delivery

Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. The amber can be carried higher toward the crown or held to the stem, and taken toward red or lifted to a pale honey. How far apart the arms lean and how wide the rings open are both set at order. A paler stone can replace the black base. It goes upright into a crate lined with foam, each arm wrapped and the stem supported, and two people should set it in place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A branching rock warmed with amber belongs with our abstract sculptures; two rings held in its arms join it to our organic sculptures, and honey deepening down a twisted stem suits our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
