Amber Graded Branching Cross Resin Sculpture - 83cm
Amber Graded Branching Cross Resin Sculpture - 83cm $2,36300
Description

A branching cross whose colour descends through it like poured honey: clear at the crown, warm amber through the middle and a dark, almost brown amber at the foot. Spurs reach out at staggered heights on both sides, and three openings run right through it, one small near the top, one long oval at the right and one low above the foot.

A Clear Crown Over Honey and Dark Amber

Three depths of amber give the form a sense of age, as resin darkens where it gathers. The crown is left colourless so its spurs read crisp and cold; through the middle the amber turns every facet gold; at the foot it closes to a dark tone that steadies the whole cross. The grading is continuous, with no band where one shade stops, and the openings are set where they catch the change, so each frames a different depth of colour. It is poured by hand, so the bands of colour never fall twice in the same place.

Rising to 83cm, it suits a console, a sideboard in a warm room or a landing, and it needs clear room all around it for the spurs to read. Timber, leather and brass draw out the honey tones, and side light from a lamp shows the grading best. A plain wall behind it keeps the outline clear.

Honey Amber Grading, and Getting It Home

Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The amber can climb further toward the crown or stay low, darken toward tortoiseshell or lighten toward pale honey, and every opening is cut by hand, so each casting differs. Other studio tints can be laid in place of the amber. Its spur tips are the parts to protect, so it travels packed in foam that follows its outline and is raised by the trunk with the foot supported. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Spurs staggered up a single trunk belong with our abstract sculptures; colour deepening like poured honey joins our organic sculptures, and dark amber gathering low in the trunk suits our resin sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
