Amber Gold Dust Twin Peak Mountain Resin Sculpture, 30cm, twin amber peaks with gold-dust interior on a pale ash wood dish, shown on a plain white background.
Amber Gold Dust Twin Peak Mountain Resin Sculpture - 30cm $1,62000
Description

An amber massif of two peaks, the higher at the right, loaded with gold powder through the body and capped in clear resin at both summits. It is thin through its depth and sits in a shallow dish of pale ash whose outline is cut to follow the line of its own foot, and the dish is supplied with it.

Gold That Is Suspended, Not Applied

Gold powder is far denser than the resin holding it, so it does not stay where it is put. From the moment it goes in it is falling, and the only control over where it ends up is when the pour happens against how fast the resin is thickening. Go too early and the powder drifts to the bottom and leaves the summits empty; too late and it sits in a band near the surface and reads as paint. The window is a matter of minutes and it moves with the temperature of the room. Every casting therefore carries the powder slightly differently, and the clear caps go on afterwards as a second pour once the first has stopped moving.

People will pick this one up, and that is worth planning for: a desk, a side table or a shelf at hand height suits it better than anywhere it can only be seen from across a room. The ash dish keeps it from sliding and gives it a clear edge on a busy surface. A warm light does the most, because the powder only really lights up when something is close enough to strike it directly. Allow room for the dish, which is wider than the mountain itself.

The Pour, the Caps, and Delivery

Bespoke commissions take 5–6 weeks; standard pieces take 3–4. The powder load is set at order, the amber is lightened or taken toward red, and the clear caps are left off or frosted white. The dish is cut in a darker timber, and the mountain is offered without a dish for setting straight onto a shelf. A clear body with the same powder is offered and reads as a completely different object, since without the amber behind it the gold has nothing to glow against. It is sent in one box with the mountain seated in its dish and both wrapped together, and one hand lifts it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two amber peaks glittering with gold powder belong with our organic sculptures; clear caps over a body loaded with gold powder bring it into our resin sculptures, and a small mountain in its own ash dish suits our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
