An amber bowl with a four-lobed form standing up out of the floor inside it. The wall is thin and even and the colour deepens where the lobes meet the floor, since there is more material there. The outside is polished and the rim is cut flat. The bowl sits on a turned foot of its own and no stand is included.
The four lobes are cast with the bowl and not set into it, and in a translucent body that is impossible to hide. Where the lobes meet the floor the material doubles, so the colour doubles with it and there is a visible darker line all the way round each junction. An opaque bowl would show nothing. The choice is therefore to hide the junction or to use it, and it is used: the lobes are drawn so their feet make a clean four-part figure on the floor of the bowl, and the darkening reads as a drawing rather than as a defect. Nothing about it can be corrected afterwards.
At 25cm it is a working bowl and shallow enough to be reached into, which makes a low table, a console or a kitchen island the right places for it. Anything put in it will half-cover the lobes, which is worth knowing before choosing what to use it for: it is at its best empty or nearly so. A pale surface under it throws amber light back up through the floor and shows the figure at its clearest.
Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The lobe count is drawn up or down, the amber is lightened toward honey or deepened toward red, and the bowl is cast deeper. A plain floor with no form in it is offered and makes an ordinary and useful vessel of the same profile. It is also made at other diameters. It travels in one box in a shaped bed with the rim ringed and the lobes clear of the packing, and one hand lifts it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A bowl with a form rising from its floor belongs with our art furniture; amber deepening along every joint leads to our resin sculptures, and a warm vessel to reach into joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
