Amber Brown Petal Shell Resin Swivel Chair - 80cm
Amber Brown Petal Shell Resin Swivel Chair - 80cm $3,37400
Description

The whole shell of this swivel chair is tinted a translucent amber-brown, the colour of cognac or strong tea, with no ink swirled into it. The tint deepens along the rim, at the turned-out tips and in the pressed creases of the back, and pales towards the crown. Beneath it, column and disc are both brushed brass, a shade brighter than the shell.

Cognac Tint From Rim to Crown

With no swirl to follow, the eye goes to the form. The creases pressed into the back show as darker lines, the folds of the petals read as bands of deeper and paler brown, and the rim outlines the shell in a brown close to bitter chocolate. The tint runs right across the resin, so the shell warms whatever is seen through it, the way a glass of brandy does. Brushed brass suits it closely: a slightly brighter gold beneath a deep amber, with a fine grain to the metal that echoes the creases above.

Amber-brown and brass belong in a warm scheme of walnut, leather, rust or olive textiles and lamplight. It works as a dressing table chair, at a library or study desk, or as an occasional seat in a bedroom. Because it swivels, it can turn from the desk to face the room. Stand the disc on firm, even flooring. Indoor use only.

Tint Strength, Brass Finishes and Assembly

Set aside 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The tint can be specified paler, closer to honey, or darker towards a smoky brown, and the stand can be brushed brass as here, satin brass, polished chrome or black. Small differences in the pressed creases make each shell its own. Shell and column are delivered as separate pieces and joined on arrival by bolts at the seat plate, with the fixings supplied. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A cognac-tinted shell sets this swivel chair within our art furniture; brushed brass ties it to our metal sculptures, and the petal folds to our organic sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
