A lounge chair with a deep bowl for a seat that flows down without a join into four stout legs. The resin is a translucent amber, pale in the wide bowl and deepening to a darker honey in the legs, where the body is thickest and holds the most colour. Down in the bowl, the heads of the four legs show through as darker tongues of amber.
The seat and the legs are drawn as one continuous form, and the amber confirms it by running unbroken from the rim of the bowl down into each leg, growing deeper as the resin thickens. A translucent chair shows its own structure, so there is nowhere to hide a heavy joint, and the legs are made thick for that reason as much as for strength. The bowl is broad and low, which is what turns a seat into a lounge chair, and its rim rolls outward so that the edge is soft under the arms.
It belongs in a living room, a reading corner or a bedroom, anywhere a low chair can be sat in and seen from all sides. Stand it on a pale floor, where its colour reads warmest. Near a window the whole chair turns to warm honey. From across the room it reads as a single warm shape, and the change of tone from bowl to legs is seen close by.
Most pieces are standard and take 3–4 weeks; a bespoke commission takes 5–6. Three things are open when you order. The amber can be exchanged for another tint or for a frosted finish, the bowl can be made deeper for a more reclined seat, and a set can be ordered in mixed colours. A deeper bowl brings the rim forward and the legs are set wider to match. It ships in a single crate and two people can carry it into the room. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
With no break between bowl and legs, the amber lounge chair has its place in our art furniture; its rounded bowl suits our organic sculptures, and the honey-coloured resin our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
