This coffee table is made of glass and brass. The top is a flat disc in a near-black tint, set inside a broad brushed brass rim that stands slightly above the glass and carries the eye round the whole circumference. Under it the base is a single bell: narrow at the collar where it meets the rim, flaring out to a wide open foot, and made in a transparent amber that the floor shows straight through.
This table works on a single contrast: the top gives nothing back and the base gives everything. The near-black disc is specular enough to hold a hard reflection of whatever is above it, so from a seat it reads as a dark mirror. The bell below is transparent amber and reads as a lamp, catching light at the collar where the glass gathers and thinning to almost nothing at the open foot. The brass rim is the joining element and it is brushed rather than polished, which stops it competing with the top. Because the bell is open underneath, the floor colour comes up into it, so the same table looks warmer on timber than on stone.
Its place is among the sofa and chairs of a sitting room, and it shows best to someone seated, since that is where the dark top stops being a mirror and the bell starts to read. It suits a timber floor, which warms the amber, better than a cool stone one. Keep the area under it clear: the bell is open and transparent, so anything stored beneath shows through it. The brass is unlacquered and dulls a little as it is handled. Indoors only.
Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. Three things are settled at order. The tint of the bell, this amber or a smoke grey, a green, or clear glass with no tint, which turns the base into an outline. The top, from this near-black through to a bronze mirror or a clear pane that shows the bell through it. And the rim, which can be this brushed brass, a polished brass that lifts the whole table, or a blackened steel that lets the bell carry it alone. Diameter and height are each specified. Top, rim and bell travel apart in one crate and go together on site with the fittings supplied. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A dark disc over an amber bell makes this one of our geometric sculptures; it belongs equally to our art furniture, and its brass rim to our metal sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
