Amber Arched Upright Resin Sculpture (114cm) by Giant Sculptures, curved form in deep orange to honey tones on a black marble base, plain white background.
Amber Arched Upright Resin Sculpture - 114cm $2,69900
Description

An arched upright cast in amber resin. It rises from a spread foot through a narrow neck and bends over at the top into a scooped flare, while a wide plane fans out to one side from the middle to the foot. The amber is a deep orange at the neck and the flare and pales to honey across that plane, so the top of the piece glows. The order includes its black marble block.

Orange at the Neck, Honey in the Sweep

Amber on this form works like firelight. The colour runs deep orange where the resin narrows, at the neck, the flare and the edges, and opens to a pale honey across the broad sweep, so the warmth gathers at the top and fades as the plane spreads. Each piece grades a little differently. Polished all over, it shines like boiled sugar, and the black block under it makes the orange look richer still. Amber also changes with the hour, golden at noon and a deep orange under lamps in the evening.

Set it on a console or a credenza, or on the floor of a hall, where its height and warmth can welcome people in. White, cream and grey walls make the amber glow; beside dark wood it turns cognac. Evening light and warm lamps suit it best, and a window beside it fills the pale sweep with colour. It looks superb with brass and leather.

Darker Amber, Paler Honey, and the Crate

Our workshops take 3–4 weeks over a standard piece and 5–6 over a bespoke commission. The amber can be pushed towards brown or eased to a pale gold, and the orange can be spread down the sweep for a more even colour. For the block, white marble is offered instead. The same upright is made in smoke grey with black, and in clear resin curled with brown ink, each sold separately. It comes in one crate with its block; stand the block where it is to stay, then set the casting on it, lifting by the body and never by the flare. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Amber deepening to orange at the neck and flare is among the warmer colours in our resin sculptures, arched uprights with a broad sweep continue in our organic sculptures, and there are more tall pieces for a hall in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
