Amber Arched Abstract Resin Sculpture, 145cm, with color fading to clear at the flared crown, on a black marble cube base, plain white background.
Amber Arched Abstract Resin Sculpture - 145cm $3,91600
Description

A tall arched form cast in amber resin, rising from a splayed foot, turning over at the top into a flared opening and throwing a fin out to one side halfway up. The amber is richest low in the body and fades as the arch climbs, so the flared crown is nearly colourless. It stands on a tall black marble cube, supplied with it.

Amber That Fades as the Arch Climbs

Amber turns this arch from a cool presence into a glowing one, which matters at a height where the piece fills the eye. The colour sits in the foot and the body just above it and thins upward, so the eye is drawn from the warm base to the pale turn of the crown. The fin at half height catches the amber edge-on and reads as a darker line. Everything above the foot is carried out beyond it, which is what makes the arch look as if it is moving. Polished throughout, so the amber is seen in depth.

An entrance hall, a landing or the turn of a stair, where a tall warm shape can stand with space above it. A pale or white wall shows the amber at its best; dark wood swallows the fading top. Late sun from a window beside it deepens the amber, and a single spotlight from above picks out the edge of the fin.

Deeper Amber, Another Base, and the Delivery

Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The amber can be deepened towards cognac or kept light, and it can be carried further up the arch. The black cube can be cut in pale marble instead. The same arch is made in smoke grey and in olive grey, each sold as its own piece. It comes in a crate with the cube packed beside it; the cube is set level first and the casting placed onto it, and two people handle the lift, keeping their hands off the flare. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Other arches and flaring shapes of this family are gathered in our organic sculptures, more amber castings in our resin sculptures, and floor pieces of this scale in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
