Amber & Yellow Closed Loop Resin Sculpture, 50cm, a swirling loop with two arms crossing near the top, set on a black marble base, shown against a plain white background.
Amber & Yellow Closed Loop Resin Sculpture - 50cm $1,75500
Description

A closed loop in cast resin, its two arms rising from a common foot, hooking past one another near the top and leaving a clear opening where they cross. Amber runs one arm and yellow the other, and the two meet where the arms hook past one another. A black marble block is supplied and the loop sits down on it on its lowest arc.

Where Two Arms Cross

A closed loop has an inside, and an inside is the part of any sculpture that costs the most to get right and is seen the least, which is exactly why it is worth doing properly. Amber runs up one arm and yellow up the other, and they meet at the crossing rather than blending along the way, so the join is a place on the object rather than a gradient over it. The body carries no cut edge anywhere around the opening, so the inside faces read exactly like the outside ones. Polished inside the opening as well as outside, which is most of the work on a piece this shape.

A desk, a shelf or a bedside. It is small enough to be moved about. A dark ground shows the opening; a pale one fills it and the loop reads as solid. Light through the opening comes out the other side carrying the two colours with it. The loop reads as one shape from away and separates into two arms close to.

Closing the Opening, and Delivery

From order, a standard piece runs to 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission to 5–6. The arms are hooked further past one another, the amber is deepened, and the black block gives way to pale stone. Hook the arms further and the opening closes, so the piece stops being something you can see through. The same loop is made in violet and clear, which turns two warm arms into one cool one. Block and loop in one crate, and the loop is set on by hand. One person, one hand under the lowest arc. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Other shapes that loop and cross back on themselves continue through our organic sculptures, and the same loop in five further colours sits among our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
