Swept blades of resin shade from a yellow amber at their tips, through orange, to a deep red where they meet the stone, and they divide two ways. To one side a wing of long blades folds back on itself, its points trailing down at the far end; to the other a crescent rises high and hooks over, with a fan of pointed blades stepping out beside it like the pages of a book. The colour change follows the height rather than the blades.
At this depth it is closer to a relief than to a sculpture in the round, and that changes what has to be right. A piece read mostly from the front is judged on its edges, because the edges are what separate one blade from the next and they are seen against whatever is behind. A flat or a dull patch on a face would be forgiven; the same on an edge is not. So the edges are given the closest finish of all, kept crisp and bright along every blade, and the overlaps in the fan are spaced so that each edge stands clear of the one behind it.
It reads as a silhouette, so a plain ground behind it matters more than the surface under it. Against a busy wall the stepped edges merge and the piece becomes a single amber mass; against plaster or a plain panel each blade separates. Being so shallow from front to back, it is useful on a narrow shelf or at the end of a console where little else fits. Light from the front rather than above keeps the red at the foot readable. Indoor use only.
Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Because the piece is so shallow, its blades are seen mostly in outline and their edges are the finish. On commission the blades can be tinted in cooler colours, the red run further up them, and the black marble cut longer; the number of blades in the fan can be set at order, and the design can be mirrored for a position approached from the other side. It travels flat in one case with each blade faced on its own and the stone packed beneath, and it is lifted by the solid foot and stood on its stone. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Blades of amber and red folding and fanning out from one root lead into our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
