A hooked crescent lifted clear on a small white marble block. One end rises and hooks over at the top, its tip reaching out across a wide opening above the belly, while the other end sweeps out into a broad, open scoop. Olive runs through the hook, which ends in an amber tip; amber-honey fills the belly and the scoop; and a drift of crinkled gold-toned flakes shows low in the hook. The white marble block under it is supplied, and it is narrower than the crescent at both ends.
A crescent hooked over at one end is a form built around its opening, and here the opening is left wide: the hook curls over and stops well clear of the belly, so the space beneath it belongs to the piece instead of reading as a gap waiting to close. The colour follows the same line, olive where the hook turns over and amber-honey down through the belly into the scoop, with the tip of the hook caught in a bright amber edge. A drift of crinkled gold-toned flakes lies low in the hook, the one textured passage in an otherwise glassy body. It is polished all over, so the hook returns a highlight that moves as you cross the room.
This is a desk piece, and the open side of the hook is the side to turn outward. A plain wall behind keeps the hook readable; anything patterned fills the opening with detail. Light from one side runs the length of the belly and gathers at the point of the hook. From across the room it reads as one hooked line, and the colour change only arrives when you are close.
A standard piece takes 3–4 weeks to make, and a bespoke commission 5–6. The hook is drawn tighter or opened out, the olive is taken out of the point, the gold-toned flakes are left out, and the block is cut in black marble. A frosted finish can be given in place of the polish, which softens the olive and the amber into one even glow. Crescent and block are proportioned together, so a change to the hook is matched by the block chosen beneath it. They travel in one crate with the block wrapped apart, and the crescent comes out cradled under its belly, the hook and the rim of the scoop left free. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
An olive hook curling over an amber scoop, with gold-toned flakes low in it, is found among our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
