This splash of pale amber resin rises from a small faceted block through a flaring cup that opens into a ring of spray, its rim beaded with drops, and from the ring one arm climbs on and opens into fingers at the top. Ribbons of polished metal wind round it in long, loose spirals, their ends flicking out into the air, and the whole piece stands on a plain white marble base.
The ribbons are the counterpoint to the water. They are thin, flat and bright, and they spiral round the splash without touching it at most points, so the eye moves round the piece as well as up it. The amber resin is pale and warm, almost champagne, warmest in the faceted block and the flaring cup above it, running largely clear through the ring and the arm and gathering again at the fingertips. The faceted block at the foot is cut like a gem, a hard, geometric start for the soft form that rises from it, and the white marble base is left plain so the composition above it reads.
At 190cm with its base, its place is the floor of a hall, a reception, a stair landing or a lofty sitting room, somewhere people pass round it, since the ribbons change as you move. A plain wall behind it shows the metal lines clearly. Light from above or from one side makes the ribbons flash and the amber glow, and it looks particularly striking at dusk under warm lamps.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The resin can be tinted blue, rose or clear instead of amber, and the ribbons can be finished in gold or rose gold rather than left bright and mirror-polished. How many ribbons wind round it, and how far their ends fly out, is set at order, and the marble base can be cut in black instead of this white. Splash and ribbons travel together in one crate and the marble base in a second, and the base is set in place before the splash is stood on it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Pale amber water climbing through a beaded ring inside spiralling mirror ribbons is gathered with our metal sculptures, our resin sculptures and our organic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
