Amber & Clear Droplet Tipped Wave Ring Resin Sculpture, 48cm, shaped like a swirling wave ring fading from amber-orange to clear droplet-tipped arms, on a black base against a white background.
Amber & Clear Droplet Tipped Wave Ring Resin Sculpture - 48cm $1,68800
Description

Warm amber pools in the heavy swell at the foot of this ring, streaked a deeper red-orange where the water folds, and brightens to golden yellow as it climbs both sides. Above that the resin clears completely, so the arms running round the top are colourless, each ending in a round, swollen droplet. Up one side a column of water rises in a chain of knots, sending droplet-tipped fingers into the hollow of the ring, while the other side sweeps up in one broad arm that branches near the top and carries on over the crown.

Amber Swell Clearing to Droplet-Tipped Arms

The colour follows the weight of the water. Down in the swell it is a deep amber, close to marmalade where the folds gather and run red-orange; up the sides it brightens through gold to a clean lemon yellow; and by the time the resin reaches the arms there is none left, so the droplets at their ends are as clear as rain. Nowhere does one tone stop at a line. The swell is worked into rippling folds that catch a glint along every ridge, while the arms are drawn smooth and slim, each one swelling into its droplet.

With its marble block it rises 48cm, a good height for a sideboard or a hall console, where someone standing meets the ring at about chest height and can pick out each droplet. Warm colour like this glows when daylight reaches it from behind or beside, so a spot near a window suits it, and a cool grey or white wall makes the amber look richer still. Indoor use only.

Amber Depth, Droplets and the Journey

Making a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks, and making a bespoke one 5–6. Each ring is sold on its own, with its black marble block. Commissioned, the ring can take a darker cognac or a softer honey in place of the amber, the yellow carried higher into the arms or held down in the swell, and more droplets or fewer on the arms; the block itself can be made in another stone. It is packed in a padded box with every droplet wrapped and the block boxed separately; to unpack it, take it out with both hands under the swell. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Amber water brightening through gold into clear arms tipped with droplets takes this ring to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
