A low plinth, nearly a cube, made for showing a piece near the eye of someone seated. It is frosted yellow acrylic sheet that glows warm, a little deeper in colour at the edges, and its top is flat and closed. The frost is light enough that the inner corners show softly through the faces, so the plinth reads as a box of coloured light rather than a painted block.
A low plinth has to hold its own on the floor, and colour is how this one does it: frosted yellow reads as a single warm block even where the room around it is busy. The frosting diffuses light across every face, so the plinth seems to glow faintly, and the slightly deeper edges give it a crisp outline. Its near-cubic proportions make it steady and easy to place, alone or in a row, and the closed top keeps a piece level. Yellow also flatters clear resin and white stone placed on top of it.
At 53cm it lifts a piece a little above the height of a coffee table, in a living room, a child's room, a shop or a showroom. Stand it on a pale floor, where the yellow is at its brightest, or against a dark wall, where it glows. A lamp nearby makes the frosting luminous. Set out in a row, it makes a playful display.
In the workshop a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. It is made in this frosted yellow and can be ordered in other colours of sheet, clear, white or black, or to another height. Yellow warms anything clear or pale that is set on it, and other tints can be mixed to sit with the colours of a particular room. It is lifted with both hands spread under the rim of its foot, kept level, and set straight down where it will stand. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A frosted yellow block that glows warm under the piece it carries sits with our acrylic sculptures, our art furniture and our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
