This side table is a dished round top with a rolled rim on a solid tapering cylinder, in a translucent yellow that runs through the whole material. The dish is shallow and the column is wider at the top than at the foot, so the piece reads as one form drawn in at the middle rather than as a top on a base.
The yellow is worked through the whole body, so a cut edge and a polished face show the same tone and a chip cannot expose anything different underneath. The dish is deliberately shallower than its diameter suggests: a deeper one on a column this narrow would read top-heavy. The column widens as it rises and is cast solid, and the collar between it and the dish is worked as part of the same body rather than fitted between them. Every surface is taken to a gloss and the foot faced true.
At 39cm it sits below the arm of most chairs, which makes it a table to reach down to rather than across. The dish is shallow enough that a tray sits flat in it. Yellow lights up in direct sun and goes almost green in shade, so it is worth seeing in the room before the position is fixed, and the narrow foot wants a firm floor rather than a thick rug.
Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. The collar joint is the governing step. Three of its features are open. The yellow can be taken to any tint, and the dish can be made deeper for a piece that is to hold rather than support. The rim span and the stem height follow your figures. Nothing holds the line of the collar between separate orders. The packing protects the yellow rim and the collar; moving it wants one person. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A shallow yellow dish on a tapering column gives our art furniture a low side table; the drawn-in waist suits our geometric sculptures, the yellow body our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
