This cast resin block table is a tall clear block, flat and glassy on every side, with a solid form of strong yellow standing inside it. That form is a tapered slab, wide at the top and narrowing towards the bottom, set upright and stopping short of the base so that clear material runs all the way round and beneath it. From the front the yellow reads as a flat plane; from the side it is a thin sheet held in the middle of the block.
One form inside another, and the outer one is kept absolutely plain so the inner can be seen. The block is sawn flat and polished on all six faces with no chamfer, no texture and no shaping. Standing within it is a solid slab of strong yellow, wide at the top and narrowing towards the bottom, set upright and stopped short of the base so clear material runs all the way round it and underneath. From the front the yellow reads as a flat plane and fills the block; from the side it is a thin sheet suspended in the middle of clear mass. The two readings are so different that the piece changes character as you walk past it, and that is the point of it.
At 46cm it is a small block table: somewhere to set a glass beside a chair, to stand a lamp, or to show a single object. It changes completely as you walk past it, so an open position beats a corner. The yellow wants light coming through the block from behind or beside; against a dark wall it reads flat. The top is sawn level and will take a glass. One person. Indoors.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Most of it is the suspended form. You settle three things. The core colour is open, its outline can be cut to another profile, and the block is made to any size you name. The core can also be set at an angle rather than upright. You name the span across the block and the overall height. The group is made as one so that the height the yellow form reaches reads the same on each piece. The crate is packed to keep the four sawn faces of the block clear, and it takes one person to move. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Yellow standing inside clear makes this block table one of our geometric sculptures; beside a chair it serves among our art furniture, and the colour held in glassy resin suits our contemporary and modern sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
