A dark smoked glass top, rectangular and thin, is carried on two pedestals in bright amber-yellow translucent resin. Each pedestal is a cruciform column of deep concave channels running its full height, and the yellow gathers to a stronger tone at the foot where the section is deepest.
Each channel is turned into the mould, so it runs the full height of the pedestal without losing its pitch where the section narrows, and the arrises between the channels are taken up sharp rather than eased. The yellow is in the material and gathers with the thickness, which is why the foot reads stronger than the waist. The glass is cut to the pedestal spacing and its edges are polished on all four sides because at this height they are seen from below as well as above.
It serves as a console against a long wall or as a table for six, and with both pedestals set well back from the ends, chairs can be drawn up at any point along its length. Put it where light can reach the pedestals from the side: that is what carries the yellow down the channels, and in a shaded corner they read almost brown.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The channelled pedestal is the slow part. There are three decisions. Another tint can be run in place of the yellow, or none at all; the glass is offered clear as well as smoked; and the channel count is open. You name the top length and the pedestal height. Matching the depth of the yellow at the pedestal foot across pieces means ordering them as one. The crate is built around the glass edges and the pedestal channels, and four people should carry it. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Channelled yellow pedestals under smoked glass suit our geometric sculptures; the console itself belongs to our art furniture, and its tinted pedestals to our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
