Description

Two cylinders stacked with the upper one set off centre, so part of it reaches out beyond the footprint of the one below. Frosted white throughout, with the upper cylinder reading a shade deeper where it overhangs the one beneath. No base is supplied. The bottom cylinder is cut level and the pair stand on that.

Two Cylinders, One Overhang

The overhang is what makes it an object rather than a stack, and the cut rims are left crisp so that the two never merge into a single silhouette. Set them concentric and the piece becomes a column, which is a different thing entirely. An imitation-jade finish over a clear body gives a milky surface that stops the light without hiding the section, so the two cylinders read as solid and as translucent at once. Frosted to a jade-like surface over both cylinders, with the cut rims left crisp.

A low shelf or a night stand suits it, turned so the overhang reads as a balance. Something dark behind it, since a white body on a pale wall has no outline of its own. Light from one side drops a shadow from the top cylinder onto the one beneath, which is the only thing telling you they are two. The stack reads as one object from the door and as two from a pace away.

Adding a Third, and Two Boxes to Stack

Once ordered, a standard piece takes 3–4 weeks and a bespoke one 5–6. On request a third cylinder is added, the overhang is set at another angle, or a tint is run through the body. Set the overhang at another angle and the footprint grows to match, because the reach of the top cylinder is what decides the plan. One crate, the two cylinders packed separately, and they are stacked where the piece will stand. One person for each cylinder, and the upper one goes on last. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Two frosted cylinders set one off the other stand in our indoor sculptures; the overhang they balance on belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the jade-like finish over the cast body ties it to our resin sculptures.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
