In this footed bowl a clean hemisphere sits on a plain cylinder that flares out to the floor, all in an even frosted white. The frosting is even over the whole surface, inside the bowl included, so the form is read entirely by its own shadow and takes no reflection off the room around it.
The bowl and the foot are cast as one body, which is the whole difficulty: a hemisphere has to be true through every section at once, and a joint at the waist would read as a grey ring in a frosted white. The wall is held even from the rim down into the foot, because a thin patch shows as a bright band against the frosting. The frosting itself is worked over the whole surface, the inside of the bowl included, and stopped short of a gloss so the form is read by shadow rather than reflection. The foot is faced flat and true, and the piece stands without rocking on a hard floor.
At 45cm to the rim this stands on a floor beside a chair or on a wide console, and it holds nothing: the hemisphere is the point of it. The frosting reads by shadow, so it wants light from one side rather than a flat wash, and it shows against a dark ground far better than against a pale one. The flaring foot takes a small footprint for its height, so a level surface suits it.
Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Most of it is the hemisphere wall. You settle three things. The frosting can be taken to a gloss, and the foot can be made as a straight cylinder without the flare. Bowl diameter and foot height are each specified. The line of the hemisphere is common to a single order and particular to it. The bowl lip and the spreading foot are wrapped first and the piece is crated upright, so nothing bears on the rim. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A frosted hemisphere on a flaring foot belongs with our geometric sculptures; standing alone it suits our abstract sculptures, its white casting our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
