A long, low open unit with coloured panels. The frame and its two shelves are frosted white acrylic, and through them are dropped a series of vertical translucent panels in orange, amber and pale blue. The panels pass the shelves rather than sitting between them, so each one runs from the top of the unit to the floor, and where two overlap the colour doubles and goes markedly deeper than either panel alone.
The overlaps are the whole design, and they only work if the panels are cast to a matched density. Translucent acrylic laid over translucent acrylic multiplies rather than averages, so a panel a shade stronger than its neighbour will dominate every overlap it appears in and the composition falls apart. Each colour is therefore cast in one run and checked against the others on a light box before any of it is cut. The white frame is frosted on both faces so it stays even and does not reflect the colours back into themselves. The shelves are slotted to let the panels through, and each slot is cut a hair wide so a panel can be lifted out without forcing - the panels are located by the slots, not glued into them.
This is a unit for a room that needs colour rather than storage: it sits below a window without blocking it, and the panels throw their own colour onto a pale wall or floor when the light is behind them. Its length wants a long wall. Because the panels run to the floor the bays near the floor are divided into narrow slots, so it suits records, folios and flat objects better than deep ones.
Reckon on 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke one. Panel colours are specified with the order and any of them can be left out, which changes the overlaps and is worth thinking about rather than leaving to chance. The frame can be supplied in a clear or smoked acrylic instead of frosted white. It arrives as a frame with the shelves bonded in and the panels packed separately, each one sleeved, since a translucent face scuffs more visibly than a frosted one. The panels drop into their slots on site in a few minutes and no tools are needed. Two people should carry the frame. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Coloured panels dropped through a white frame belong with our art furniture; overlaps that deepen where two meet carry on into our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a low run of colour under a window joins our acrylic sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
