The top of this dining table is not a disc with a pattern on it but a flower in its own right: petals radiate from a small centre and each one finishes at the rim, so the edge scallops in and out all the way round. The colour gathers in the middle as a soft terracotta and pales toward the petal tips. Under it stands a black base, finely ribbed from a narrow neck out to a wide foot.
Modelling a top as a flower means the rim is the last thing decided and the hardest, because every scallop has to finish at the same radius or the table looks buckled from across a room, and a scallop is a curve you cannot true up with a straight edge. The petals are laid up from the centre outward so each one keeps an even section to its tip, and the terracotta is introduced at the middle of the pour and allowed to thin outward, which is why the colour follows the petals rather than sitting on them. The base is ribbed all the way round its taper, and the ribs are set out from the foot upward so they converge at the neck without crowding.
A round top of this size seats four without anybody sitting on a leg, which is what the single base is for. It belongs in a kitchen, a breakfast corner or a garden room rather than a formal dining room, since the flower top is decidedly the thing you look at. The scalloped rim wants to be seen, so keep the chairs pulled out a little rather than tucked tight. A plain floor is better under it than a pattern.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. Petal count is set at order and takes the top from a broad six-petal flower to a fine twelve. The terracotta can be run as a rose, a yellow or a green, or left out for a colourless top with the base doing the work. The base is offered in this black, a bronze, a brushed steel or painted to match the top, and its rib pitch is open. Diameter and height are cut to order. Top and base travel separately, the top flat in a crate, and the two are joined on site through a plate under the centre. The top is a three-person lift and the base a two-person one. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Petals radiating out to a scalloped rim belong with our acrylic sculptures; a black base ribbed down its whole taper leads to our metal sculptures, and a flower-topped table for a breakfast corner joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
