Teal Swirled Windblown Figure Resin Sculpture, 112cm, abstract windblown form in teal and clear resin on a black marble base, plain white background.
Teal Swirled Windblown Figure Resin Sculpture - 112cm $3,10400
Description

A windblown figure in teal and clear cast resin, carried to well above table height on a block of black marble. Teal is swirled through a colourless body in broad passes, so the colour arrives in bands rather than as a graduation. Black marble is supplied beneath it, the same stone the whole family stands on.

Swirls That Leave the Body Clear

At this height the figure becomes architecture, and swirling the colour rather than dissolving it leaves clear passages for daylight to come through. At this height the piece stops being an object on a surface and becomes something the room is arranged around, and the swirling is what keeps it from going heavy: broad passes of colour with clear between them let daylight through a body that would otherwise read as a solid mass. Teal swirled through the body rather than dissolved in it leaves passages of clear between the colour, and those are where the room behind comes through. A full polish, with the swirls left to do their own work under an even surface.

It wants a floor position beside a window, or a large console where the ceiling is generous. A window or a pale wall. This one has enough clear in it to want something to transmit. Daylight from behind fills the clear passages and leaves the teal as a drawn line through the body. At this height it is architecture from the door and a colour study from the sofa.

Dissolving the Swirls, and Getting It In

Give it 3–4 weeks as a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks as a bespoke commission. The teal can be dissolved into a graduation, the flare can be brought in, and the same design is made at four other heights. Spread the swirls into a graduation and the clear passages go with them, which is most of why this version transmits light at all. One crate. Two people set it down, and it arrives fixed to its block. Two people at this height. Take the weight at the block and steady the flare, which is the widest part. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Teal swirled in broad passes through a tall figure sets it among our resin sculptures; its tall, wind-caught drawing sits with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and at full height it stands with the figures in our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
