Teal Shell Cast Resin Armchair - 81cm
Teal Shell Cast Resin Armchair - 81cm $4,04900
Description

Teal resin forms this armchair as one continuous shell. The back stands upright and rolls over at its top edge; from it the arms reach forward as broad flat wings that bend down at their front corners, and the seat dishes between them. Four legs, square where they leave the seat, turn round in section before they reach the floor, and the whole piece is translucent.

Teal Resin Shaped as One Continuous Shell

Teal shows the geometry of the shell clearly. Across the broad flat back the colour is at its lightest, a clear sea blue; where the arms join the back and the material overlaps, it deepens towards green. Because the tint runs through the resin, an edge carries the same colour as a face and nothing can wear away. The legs change from a square section to a round one along their length, so they read as part of the shell rather than as fixings beneath it.

At 81cm it is a full armchair for a desk, a dining table or a bedroom corner. The teal is cool and fresh against white walls and pale timber, and it brightens a north-facing room. The seat is firm and upright, made for working or dining rather than lounging. Light from behind shows the colour deepening where the arms meet the back. Indoor use only.

Teal Tones, Seat Height and Packing

Whether it is standard or bespoke sets the build: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The teal can be pushed bluer or greener, or made paler for a softer chair, and the seat height is set by cutting the legs to the length you need. Its legs may also be left colourless, with the tint kept to the shell. Chairs ordered at the same time share one tint. It is crated with both arm tips protected and carried into the room by two people. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Teal cast as one shell makes this chair one for our art furniture; its clean modern line belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and the chair with our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
