Teal Rolled Rim Cushioned Cast Resin Lounge Chair - 95cm with a white cushioned seat and black metal legs, shown on a plain white background.
Teal Rolled Rim Cushioned Cast Resin Lounge Chair - 95cm $5,80500
Description

This lounge chair sits low and wide, a bowl-shaped shell of cast resin raised on four legs. The shell is one piece and its rim is rolled: a thick rounded edge that runs round the whole top, wrapping forward at each side into a low arm and dropping at the back into a curved wall. The resin is a deep teal, darkest through the rolled rim where the section is greatest and clearing towards the middle of the back. Inside it sits a round upholstered cushion in off-white. Four slim, straight black legs hold the shell clear of the floor.

A Rolled Rim Wrapping a Cushion

The rolled rim is the piece and it does three jobs at once. It runs round the whole top of the shell as a thick rounded edge, wrapping forward at each side into a low arm and dropping at the back into a curved wall, so arm and back and rim are one member. It carries the fullest section on the chair, and the teal reads dark there while the middle of the back clears towards a paler blue-green. And it is what a sitter's arms meet, so it is worked smooth throughout. A thick off-white cushion fills the seat, and four straight black legs raise the shell off the ground, which keeps a heavy form from looking planted.

Wide and low, the chair needs room at both sides for its wrapped arms. Facing into a room suits it, since the rolled rim reads as a complete ring only from the front. The teal is deep enough to hold its own against a coloured wall. The cushion makes it usable for a long sitting where a bare shell would not. Two people. Indoors.

The Shell, the Cushion, and the Lead Time

Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The rolled rim sets the pace here. Three of its features are open. The teal is offered in other tints, the covering on the cushion is selected by you, and the legs are available in a timber or a brass finish. You give us the seat height. Seat height is open, and so is overall width. Pieces from one order share the teal run down the shell. Pieces from two orders do not. The rolled rim and the cushion must travel padded and clear, so plan on four people at the threshold. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A teal shell whose rolled rim wraps an off-white cushion makes this lounge chair part of our art furniture; one curve running through rim, arm and back fits our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a deep seat for long sitting is kept with our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
