A teal ball cut into four standing segments around a central core. The cuts run on curves that lean around the upright, so each segment stands on its own and the group appears to turn, and a lens-shaped core runs the full height at the centre for them to lean against. The disc under the segments is cast with them, and there is no other base.
A sphere divided into four is two decisions, not one: how the cuts run, and what is left in the middle. Cut on straight planes the segments would be wedges and the piece would read as a ball that had been sliced; cut on curves that lean around the vertical axis, as these are, each segment becomes a leaf standing on its own and the group appears to turn. The core is what stops that from looking like four objects. It is drawn as a lens running the full height at the centre, so every segment has something to lean against and the eye reads one body opened rather than four pieces arranged. Leaving the core out would have been simpler to cast and would have produced a cage. The disc beneath is cast with the segments for the same structural reason: it ties the four feet together where they are thinnest.
Its 30cm makes it a piece for a windowsill or a lit shelf, read into rather than at, so it wants to be below eye level with something bright behind it. The gaps between the segments are the point of it, and against a dark wall they close up and the piece becomes a solid teal ball. A window ledge or a lit shelf both work. It sits on its own cast disc and needs nothing under it.
Work on a bespoke commission runs to 5–6 weeks, on a standard piece to 3–4. The segments are cut at other counts, the green is taken toward blue, and the core is drawn fuller. The number of segments can be raised or lowered, which changes the object more than anything else offered on it, and the core is made fuller so that less of the interior shows through. The ball is made at other diameters. A frosted body is offered and closes the gaps visually, since the segments are separated by what can be seen between them. It is crated on its own disc, with the segment tops packed clear of one another. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A ball cut into standing segments is contemporary sculpture; the teal runs through as resin sculpture; and a piece read into is indoor sculpture shelf work.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
