Description

A lion stands in profile and roars, one forepaw raised and resting on a large sphere, its tail curved up in a wide loop behind. The mane is crimped in tight vertical waves and the animal stands on a thin flat slab.

A Raised Paw Resting on a Sphere

The sphere is not decoration, it is the fourth leg. A standing lion with a paw in the air has three points of contact, and three points on a slab that will be craned and set is not enough, so the sphere is cut as part of the same block and carries the raised shoulder. The looped tail is the other structural trick: it comes back down to touch the haunch, which stops a long thin curve of stone standing free. The marble is an ivory cream going white where the veining runs pale.

A standing lion with a raised paw has a direction and a front, so it belongs where it is met head-on or in three-quarter view: the turn of a drive, one side of a gate, the head of a terrace. Give it space in front rather than behind. The crimped mane holds shadow, so a position with side light reads better than flat overhead sun.

Balance, and Why the Sphere Is Structural

Fourteen weeks. The slab, the sphere and the lion are one block from the start and the sphere is roughed early because it supports everything above it. The looped tail is left joined to the haunch throughout and never freed. The crimped mane is cut last, each wave in a single pass. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops. Around 3,403kg as one block, set by crane on a poured concrete foundation.

Standing figures are gathered in animal sculptures, with the outdoor pieces under outdoor sculptures.

Production Time

Every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.

  • Sculptures under 50cm — shipped by air freight. Typical delivery 1–2 weeks after production is complete.
  • Sculptures 50cm and above — shipped by sea freight. Typical delivery 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
