Smoke Stacked Cube Acrylic Console Table - 139cm
Smoke Stacked Cube Acrylic Console Table - 139cm $19,90300
Description

Two legs and a top, and every part of all three on this console table is built from small smoke-tinted cubes set at different projections so no face of it is flat. Each leg gathers outward as it rises and the two curve in toward one another under the top, leaving an arch between them, and the cubes along that arch step back one at a time so the underside reads as a soft edge.

Hundreds of Small Cubes Massed Into an Arch

The projection is what makes this work and it is also what makes it difficult. Every cube stands slightly forward or back of its neighbours, which means a face that must read as a coherent plane is actually a field of small offsets, and the offsets have to be distributed rather than random or the surface reads as damage. In a smoke tint each cube also reads at its own depth of colour, so a cube set proud comes out paler than one set back and the projection registers as tone as well as relief. The arch is the exacting part: the step-back has to reduce evenly toward the middle of the span or the curve looks kinked. Cube placement is decided piece by piece, so no two consoles mass alike.

At standard console height it suits the wall behind a sofa, along a hall, or under a mirror, and this one wants the wall to be plain. The stepped faces catch light from the side and throw a fine grain of shadow, which a patterned wall swallows entirely. Side light is worth arranging: a lamp at one end rakes across the cubes and brings the projection out, where a light from directly above flattens it. The arch between the legs is part of the composition, so leave the floor beneath it empty.

Cube Projection, Tint Route and Site Assembly

Build times separate standard from bespoke: 3–4 weeks against 5–6. A blue-grey top running down to a frosted colourless foot is the alternative colour route on this design, at the same price. The tint can be taken lighter or deeper, and the cube size can be changed, which alters the grain of the whole piece rather than just its colour. Length is cut to order. It is delivered as two legs and a top that are joined on site, which is what lets the console arrive through a normal door. Each leg is a two-person lift, and the top wants two as well. The cube faces are the vulnerable part in transit, so every face travels sleeved. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Smoke cubes massed into an arch belong with our acrylic sculptures; faces that step in and out lead to our geometric sculptures, and a console for a plain hall wall joins our indoor sculptures.

Shipping & Returns

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
