Everything on this stool is the same smoke tint and the same material: a shell with a low curved back and a dished seat, four round legs tapering toward the floor, and stretchers tying them front and back. The tint is even enough that the whole stool reads as one object seen through grey rather than as a set of grey parts.
An even tint across members of very different thickness is the demand here. A leg is a slender section and a seat is a broad one, so the same pigment crossed by light would give a pale leg and a dark seat, and the stool would read as mismatched. The mix is therefore set for the thickest section and the thinner ones are compensated in the moulding, which is why the legs hold their colour where a straight formulation would lose it. The dish in the seat is the second thing: it has to be deep enough to hold a sitter in place and shallow enough that the shell keeps a single continuous curve from the back round to the front edge.
At 88cm it suits a bar or a high counter rather than a kitchen island, so measure before ordering. The low back and the dished seat make it a stool for a meal rather than a drink. A smoke tint is straightforward to place, since it reads as a soft grey against almost any wall and does not compete with a floor. Set them a hand's width apart. The stretchers stand outside the line of the seat, so two placed on seat spacing will meet at the foot.
Allow 3–4 weeks for a standard piece and 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. Overall height is set to your counter. The tint is offered lighter or deeper, in other colours from the same stock, and colourless. The back can be raised for more support or taken off for a plain perch, and an upholstered seat pad is available where the moulded dish is too firm. The stretchers can be omitted. Each stool arrives moulded in one piece with nothing to assemble and is an easy one-person lift. Where a run is ordered they are moulded together so the tint matches across the set, and they travel stacked with a sleeve between each, since a tinted surface shows a scuff more readily than a clear one. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A smoke tint held even through slender legs belongs with our acrylic sculptures; a dished seat under a curved shell back connects with our art furniture, and seating for a high bar counter joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
