This cast resin and glass coffee table has a round top of smoked glass. Beneath it the base is built from cast resin links, each a closed loop of thick round section, knotted through one another so that four reach the floor as feet and the rest gather in the middle to carry the glass. The links are tinted through the material rather than on the surface, so a loop is darkest where two cross and clearest along its outer curve. The links here are a soft grey smoke.
The base is a knot and every link in it is a closed loop. Each is a thick round section with no visible joint, and they pass through one another so that four come down to the floor as feet while the rest gather at the centre to take the glass. Nothing here is fixed to anything: the arrangement holds because of how the loops sit. The tint runs through the material, which means a loop is darkest at a crossing where the light path doubles and clearest along its free outer curve, and that gradient is what lets the eye separate one link from the next. The glass is round and smoked to a dark grey, so the links are seen through a shaded plane from above and in full from the side.
This is a proper coffee table and it needs clear floor on the open side. The base is the piece, so nothing should be stored under it and a plain rug or floor serves it best. The links are read through the glass from above and directly from the side, which makes an island position better than one against a sofa back. Two people, and the glass travels separately. Indoors.
Ordinarily a standard piece needs 3–4 weeks and a bespoke commission 5–6. Most of it is the linked base. Three things are open at order. The links can be tinted another colour at order. Clear glass can replace the smoked top, the glass can be cut to a different diameter, and more or fewer links can make up the knot. You name the top diameter and the glass thickness. Tables ordered together have their links tinted to match. The crate is packed to keep the glass top and the outer links clear, and it takes four people to move. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Smoky links knotted under smoked glass give our art furniture a quiet centre table; the knot of loops belongs with our contemporary and modern sculptures, and its greys with a calm room among our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
