A figure of a woman standing into the wind, the dress pressed against her on one side and streaming out behind on the other, cast in a translucent smoke grey resin. The grey is held in the body itself, gathering where the figure is broad and paling at the thin edges of the dress, so that light shows through it there. A white marble block is supplied, and the whole figure bears on it through the ball of one foot.
Colour carried through a translucent body behaves differently from colour laid on a surface. Where the figure is thick, through the torso and the standing leg, the grey gathers almost to charcoal; where the dress thins out to its streaming edges it pales until the light comes through, so the wind seems to be blowing the colour out of it. Every fold therefore reads twice, once as an outline and once as a change of tone. Any flaw in a body this clear would show through the grey, so the casting is made slowly and polished afterwards, keeping the surface glassy over the colour.
A hall, an entrance or a garden room, against a pale wall that lets the smoke grey read. A window behind or beside it sets the thin edges of the dress alight while the body stays dark, which is where the piece is most alive. It reads as a dark vertical from across a room and resolves into a figure in the wind as you approach.
Lead times run 5–6 weeks bespoke and 3–4 standard. The dress is drawn further out, the grey is deepened or taken toward clear, and the block is cut in black stone. Draw the dress further out and the block is widened under it, because the figure leans past its own foot as it is. The block goes down first, then the figure is lowered onto it, and the casting is left in its wrapping until the room is done. Two people, gloved, should handle it, since a print shows on clear resin in any light. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
More figures for an entrance or a hall are in our indoor sculptures, windswept poses of this kind continue in our contemporary and modern sculptures, and a figure cast in smoke grey joins our resin sculptures.

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
