Description

A tall windblown figure in smoke grey resin. The body twists upward from a pointed hem, throwing out small fins along its length, and at the top a spiky, flame-like crown streams sideways as if caught in a gale. The grey is near black at the crown and the foot and lightens through the body, so the figure seems to rise out of shadow and back into it. A black marble block comes with it.

A Figure Rising Out of Shadow

Smoke grey gives this tall figure a dramatic, stormy character. The colour is heavy where the form gathers, at the crown and the pointed hem, and thins through the twisting body, where the fins and ridges catch the light as pale grey edges. The effect is of a figure caught between cloud and clear air. No two pieces carry the smoke in quite the same way, and a deep gloss over every face keeps the grey rich rather than dull. It gives a pale room a strong vertical accent.

At this height it can stand on the floor of a hall or a landing, or on a broad console in a tall room. Grey, white and stone interiors suit it, and it looks striking beside black steel and concrete. A pale wall behind it shows the smoky outline best; side light brings up the fins along the body. Seen from the doorway, it is a dark flame.

Darker Smoke, Paler Smoke, and Delivery

Count on the difference between standard and bespoke: 3–4 weeks or 5–6. The smoke can be laid heavier for an almost black figure or lighter for a pale silver-grey, and the crown can be left clear. The block can be cut in pale marble instead of black. The same design comes in teal and in clear resin, each sold separately. Being this tall, it is crated alone, and it needs two people, one taking the block and one steadying the crown. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
