Smoke green is confined to the back of this chair. Its back is a single broad tinted sheet that spreads as it climbs and folds forward at either upper corner into a small wing, which gives the chair a shouldered outline. Below it the seat and all four legs are colourless: the seat hollowed for sitting with a rounded lip at the front, each leg turned and narrowing on its way down.
The tint is a cool smoke with green in it, and it is not even. It gathers along the folded edges of the two wings, where the resin is seen edge on, and thins to a pale wash across the open middle of the panel, so the back has a darker outline and a lighter centre. The colour sits within the resin, not in a coating laid over it. Under the panel the seat is clear, hollowed for sitting and thickened into a rounded lip along its front, and each leg is turned on a long taper from a full shoulder to a slim foot and also left clear, so the tinted back appears to hover above a frame that almost disappears.
At 80cm it slides under a dining table in the ordinary way, and its cool tone goes with grey, white and pale oak more readily than with warm timber. The two wings rise clear of the table top, so several of these chairs make a line of grey-green shapes along its length. The colour depends on light: in a dim room it fades towards clear. Indoor use only.
Ours is a 3–4 week build as standard, and a 5–6 week build when the commission is bespoke. The smoke can be pushed greener or greyer, another tint can be chosen for the back, and the seat can carry the same tint instead of staying clear; the legs can be turned to another profile as well. Chairs ordered together are matched for tint, and a chair added to the set later can differ slightly. Each chair travels in its own crate with the legs braced, and it needs two people to lift. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
Smoke-tinted wings over clear turned legs put this grey-green chair with our art furniture; the cool smoke leans towards our contemporary and modern sculptures, and its dining-room setting to our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
