Description

This is a bottle form cast in smoked black resin, with a long, slender neck rising from broad, sloping shoulders to a stepped lip. The colour is a deep, smoky black with a faint navy depth where the resin is thinnest, and every surface carries a high polish. It stands on its own flat foot.

A Familiar Shape Made Monumental

Enlarging an everyday object changes how it is read: at this scale the bottle stops being a container and becomes a pure silhouette, the long neck, the sloping shoulders and the straight body drawn as one continuous line. Smoked resin suits that reading, dark enough to hold the outline crisply against a pale wall yet deep rather than flat, so highlights gather along every curve of the gloss. Its base is ground level, and the bottle stands upright with nothing beneath it.

At 80cm it stands on the floor beside a bar or in a hall, or on a broad console where it can be seen in full profile. A pale wall behind it shows the silhouette at its sharpest, and a light to one side runs a highlight down the shoulders and the neck. It makes a striking note in a restaurant, a wine room or a reception.

The Bottle, the Smoke and Delivery

Delivery follows a 3–4 week build as standard, or a 5–6 week build if bespoke. The resin can be made clear, deep green, amber or a darker smoke, and the bottle cast at another height to order. The lip can be left plain or given a band of gold leaf. It can also be given a frosted skin instead of the polish, which softens the highlights into a velvet sheen. It is crated upright with the neck braced, and two people should lift it out and stand it in place. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.

A familiar bottle enlarged to a monumental scale belongs with our pop art sculptures; smoked black resin polished to a gloss leads to our resin sculptures, and a tall silhouette for a bar or a wine room joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.

Production Time

Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.

Returns

Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.

To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
