Description

A seated angel holding roses gathered at her waist sits back on a chest-form plinth finished with a moulded cap and foot, her gown pooling at the front. A matching urn-form flower vase stands on the base slab at each side of her, and the whole group sits on one thick rectangular slab.

Seated Angel Between Two Urn Vases

The two urns have to be a pair and they are turned rather than carved, which is a different discipline from the figure and is done by a different hand. Both are worked from one block so the grain runs the same way through each, and they are matched against one another before either is finished. The angel is cut afterwards, so the urns set the height of the group rather than the reverse.

A memorial with its own vases wants a plot wide enough that the urns are not crowded by planting, so a full grave or a family plot rather than a lawn marker. Real flowers go in the urns and dead ones come out, so keep the approach to both sides clear. Burial authorities differ on loose vases and on what may stand on a base slab, so check theirs before you order.

Using the Vases and Keeping the Plot Clear

Ten weeks. The two urns are turned and matched first, because a pair that does not match cannot be corrected once the figure is cut to their height. The plinth follows and the angel is fitted to it last. The plinth faces arrive blank and take a name and dates in the lettering you settle on, or stay bare for a mason near you. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops. Around 2,098kg across four pieces, craned into position on a poured foundation.

Production Time

Every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.

  • Standard sculptures: approximately 3–4 weeks from order confirmation.
  • Bespoke commissions (custom sizes, finishes, or fully custom designs): approximately 5–6 weeks from design sign-off.

Production time is separate from delivery time.

Free Worldwide Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of destination.

  • Sculptures under 50cm — shipped by air freight. Typical delivery 1–2 weeks after production is complete.
  • Sculptures 50cm and above — shipped by sea freight. Typical delivery 6–8 weeks after production is complete.

For larger sculptures where faster delivery is needed, air freight is available at additional cost — contact us before ordering for a quote.

All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.

Delivery to Your Address

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.

For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.

Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.

International Orders & Customs

For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.

30-Day Returns

We accept 30-day returns on sculptures in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

To start a return, contact us within 30 days of receipt. Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is at the customer's cost.

Bespoke and custom-commissioned pieces are non-refundable once production has started, as they are made specifically to your specification.

Damage in Transit

Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging.
  3. We arrange collection and either replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Lifetime Guarantee

Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.

This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
