Two fish leap from one arm of this U-shaped wave, across the open hollow from the crest that curls over at the other, with no boundary anywhere between them and the water, and the whole wave stands on a block of black marble. The tint is a warm, smoky rose, deepest in the body at the foot of the wave and running out to colourless along the crest's fingers, and the fish are a shade paler than the water they sit in, so they read as being under it rather than against it. Their fins and tails break the surface at the top of that arm.
Forming the fish within the wave rather than applying them to it is the whole difficulty and the whole point. A fish set on the surface is a decoration and reads as one: there is a line round it where the two meet, and the eye finds that line immediately. Here there is no boundary at all, because each fish is a change in the shape of the water and nothing else: a body swelling out of the wave, a smooth round hollow for an eye, a fin swept back along its side and a tail lifting clear at the top. Across the hollow of the U the crest curls over and breaks into a mane of fingers pierced with openings, so water and fish answer one another from either side.
At 69cm with its block it belongs on a console or a long cabinet that faces into the room, and it is worth turning it until both fish stand clear of the deepest rose in the body. The fish read from either face of the wave, so it can stand where it is passed on both sides. It wants its light forward of the piece and only a little above it: backlighting fills the whole body evenly, which is exactly what hides a form that depends on being slightly paler than its surroundings.
Plan for 3–4 weeks on a standard piece and 5–6 weeks on a bespoke commission. The fish sit within the wave with no boundary anywhere around them, and holding that is the whole of the difficulty. The fish can be left out entirely, and the tint runs from this rose through amber and a cool blue. Scale is drawn to order, and a third fish can be added or the two drawn leaping the other way. The marble block can be a pale stone instead. It arrives in one foam-lined case with the crest faced and the block boxed under it, and the two are put together on site: the block is set down and levelled, then the wave is lowered onto it and held by its body rather than by the crest. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A rose-tinted wave with two fish leaping from the arm opposite its crest brings this piece to our organic sculptures, our resin sculptures and our indoor sculptures.

Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For all orders delivered worldwide, all customs duties, import taxes, and applicable local clearance fees are fully included in the purchase price. We manage and settle these charges on your behalf, ensuring you will not incur any additional fees upon arrival.
Please note that this policy excludes shipments delivered to Switzerland, as well as any individual orders where an exclusion is explicitly stated prior to purchase; in such instances, local customs charges and import taxes remain the responsibility of the customer.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
