The shell of this dining chair is one piece: it rises behind the sitter and then flares outward at the top into two wings, and below that it dishes into a seat with a rolled front edge. Its colour is a rose pink held deepest in the seat, thinning as the back climbs until the wing tips are almost clear, and the whole shell is flecked with small raised droplets. Four slim black metal legs splay out to the floor.
Moulding a shell that flares at the top and dishes at the bottom asks the material to stretch in two directions at once, and translucent acrylic shows exactly where it has been asked to stretch furthest: the wing tips thin toward their edges and pale as they thin. So the mould is loaded to leave more material at the wings than the geometry alone would need, which keeps the colour even from the seat to the wing tip. The rose is mixed so that it holds its depth in the thick seat and gives way gradually up the back, while the raised droplets catch light across the shell without roughening the seat.
A winged back reads wider than the chair actually is, so measure the table before ordering a set, since six of these will crowd a table that seats six in plain chairs. The rose is translucent rather than opaque, so it changes with what is behind it, warming against white walls and softening against grey. At 82cm the wings rise well clear of the table, and kitchens, garden rooms and breakfast tables all take it. Keep them off a deep pile.
Production takes approximately 3–4 weeks for a standard piece, or 5–6 weeks for a bespoke commission. The rose can be made deeper or kept to a blush, and the shell can be taken clear from seat to wing tip where no colour is wanted. Legs are offered in black, in a brighter chrome or in a warmer brass, and seat height can be set to your table. Priced singly, the chair is ordered by the number of places at the table. Each chair arrives with the legs fitted and is a comfortable one-person lift. Where a set is ordered they ship in one crate with a sleeve between each shell, since a moulded wing tip is the thinnest part and the part that chips. Our main studios are in the UK (Birmingham) and Dubai, with additional global workshops.
A rose that drains from the seat to a clear wing tip belongs with our acrylic sculptures; four slim black legs splayed beneath one shell lead to our metal sculptures, and rose seating for a pale kitchen joins our indoor sculptures.

Almost every sculpture at Giant Sculptures is handmade to order, then shipped worldwide free of charge. Below is everything you need to know before you order, and what to expect after.
Almost every sculpture is handmade to order by our artisans — we do not mass-produce.
Production time is separate from delivery time.
Shipping is free worldwide on every sculpture, regardless of size or destination. Standard delivery is by sea freight, typically 6–8 weeks after production is complete.
Express air freight is available on request at additional cost, with delivery in up to 10 days. Ask us before placing your order, or straight after, and we will confirm the cost for your destination.
All sculptures ship in reinforced protective crating, fully insured to purchase value.
Delivery is to the door or curbside at your shipping address.
For larger sculptures shipped by sea freight, the carrier will contact you in advance to arrange a delivery window. Please ensure someone is available to accept the delivery and that the property has suitable access for the size of the piece.
Once the sculpture arrives, you are responsible for positioning it in its final display location. For larger or heavier pieces, we recommend arranging two people (family, friends, or a local moving service) to help with placement.
For orders shipping outside the United Kingdom, any customs duties, import taxes, or local fees at your destination country are the responsibility of the customer. These charges are set by your local authority and are not included in our shipping cost.
If you have questions about customs for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can advise on typical charges for your region.
Where an order qualifies, we accept returns within 14 days of receipt, in original condition and original packaging, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
Because our sculptures are made individually, most orders do not qualify. Returns do not apply to any item that is not held in stock, is made to order, or is custom or bespoke.
To check whether your order qualifies, contact us within 14 days of receipt. On a qualifying return, return shipping is at the customer's cost, a 25% restocking fee applies, and original shipping charges are not refunded.
Every sculpture ships fully insured. In the unlikely event of damage during transit:
Every sculpture carries a lifetime guarantee against finish defects under normal display conditions, subject to our Terms & Conditions.
This covers manufacturing defects, premature finish degradation, and structural failures under normal display. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, inappropriate environments (for example, an indoor-only sculpture placed outdoors), or modifications made after delivery.
If you have questions about shipping, customs, delivery timing, or anything else before you order, our team is here to help. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and we'll respond within 24 hours.
